Environmental Monitoring

Environmental Monitoring

Ensuring ownership of the results is critical to an effective program. Not only is an internal owner required but also external owners, the community and other interested agencies. Their concerns are integral to the acceptance and implementation of management initiatives. Make a team, representing all those with an interest, to ensure you get both the best program and the best outcomes.

Consultation can take many forms and you need to think clearly about how the community will be affected, the scale of those impacts, the timeframe both of the program and the necessary consultation processes, and if/how you will maintain ongoing community engagement.

Why will this (or any) monitoring program help improve environmental or other outcomes?
